MAURI KOSONEN is a Finnish Artist and Musician born in Turku, Finland, 1978. He has done naivistic-realistic oil on canvas Paintings since 1997 and has had around 30 exhibitions. His artworks have won and been in the finals of Finnish and International Art Competitions. Works have been displayed in international online galleries and art publications such as International Contemporary Masters Vol III (WWAB, USA, 2010). He has been invited to international exhibitions such as Florence Biennale, Italy and to galleries and in UK and USA. Recently Kosonen has been focusing in Sculpture and Public Art. Kosonen has education in Graphic Design. He has worked in advertisement agencies as Assistant Art Director and Art Director between 1998-2011 which has had an effect in his Art Graphics. In 2012 Kosonen started 4-year studies in Kankaanpää Art School, Finland to be graduated as BA of Arts in 2016. Kosonen has written, published and Illustrated two Children’s Books ( in Finnish) and made 5 albums and around 200 shows as vocalist-guitarist and songwriter in Heavy Rock Duo Mystons. He has also made 2 Finnish troubadour albums being elected the First Troubadour of Turku, Finland in 2004.
